A little about me

Hello! It's me, Christine D and I'm here with you to share stories of my lived experiences, and the stories of others, who are leaning into their authentic selves to create the life they want.

It is my experience that self doubt, fear and limitations in our minds hold us back from doing the great things we were meant for. In this space, I share the proof that we don't have to live the life we have been taught to live, but we can in fact flip the script on our own lives and do things differently. Here you will hear from me and others, who have leaned into doing what they want, despite the fear that tries to hold them back.

There is no limit to what you can create, and we are here to show you that you can not only dream it, but you can create it too.

October is a significant month for me, and I recently took a few minutes to dive into just HOW significant. A year that I could have easily just decided to keep doing the same thing, but I allowed my gut to speak to me in very profound ways that has resulted in me leading a very different life than I was a year ago - so naturally I wanted to share it with you!

This topic is not a new one, but one that continues behind many closed doors and is far more common than you think.
In this episode I am joined by Christine Fry, a domestic abuse survivor who now helps other women who have found the courage to leave their abusers, to begin their life again on the other side. Christine speaks to the support victims need after they have left their abusive situation - to paraphrase, the abuse isn't over just because they leave, the hardest work begins when once they're out.
In this conversation, we discuss what domestic abuse can look like, how insidious it can be, and the feelings of blame, guilt and shame felt by those who have become victims - many not realizing that they are themselves victims of domestic abuse.
Christine Fry, a compassionate Certified Life Coach and founder of Purple Petals Coaching, is dedicated to empowering women who have experienced trauma and domestic violence. Drawing from her own personal journey as a trauma survivor inspired her to earn her Life Coach Certification. Through her Instagram content and the Durable Podcast, she provides a safe space to find inspiration and insights. Currently, she's working on a book, a compilation of quotes and stories aimed at empowering women who have experienced trauma and their children, with the goal of reaching a wider audience and providing strength to those affected by trauma and domestic violence.

You are going to love ths conversation with Candice Allen. Not only does her energy lift you up, but this conversation will light up parts of you from the inside.
Together we discuss how our journeys have not been linear, despite what we have been taught to expect for ourselves. We dive into the shifts we have made to lean into self love, and acceptance of what is, while creating lives that allow us to colour outside the lines that have been taught to live by.
This conversation will inspire you, and help you see that the path you're on is exactly right for you, and when you feel something in you, even when you don't know what the outcome will be, it's important to trust because its YOU who is asking for something different.

I'm sharing this episode recorded for the Empowered Essence Podcast with the lovely Laura Lorentz.
In this discussion, we talk about leaning into trust, listening to your intuition as it guides us to next steps, versus the age-old concept of taking pre-meditated or planned out steps to get to a goal.
We chat about flipping the script upside down as we trust what's in us, and reflect on what happens when we don't listen to what our intuition is telling us - you know, what happens when we ignore what we feel.
You can find more about Laura through her Instagram handle @lauralorentzcoaching or listen to more of her podcast episodes on her show, Empowered Essence.

Food intolerances are on the rise, with celiac disease and autoimmune diseases becoming a topic of discussion at many dinner tables. Sara Hignell sat down with me to talk about her now 20 years of experience with celiac, and how she is helping other gluten-free people enjoy the foods they love in a way that leaves them feeling good.
Have a listen as Sara shares some of what she went through to be diagnosed, and how she began, and continues, to lead others to finding great gluten free alternatives to enjoy in and around the Waterloo Region.
Sara and her partner Liz of the Gluten Free Collective are hosting the Gluten Free Fest on Sunday, Sept 17 at Bingemans.
You can find out more about the event by visiting the glutenfreefest.ca, and learn more about Sara's mission to help as many gluten-free people find great local gluten free food by following along on Instagram and Facebook at the @theglutenfreecollective
Sara mentions in the interview that blood testing for celiac is now covered by OHIP, so if you believe you may be celiac, the test is available for no cost to you in Ontario through your doctor. Other helpful food intolerance resources include naturopaths and nutritionists who can not only help you with diagnosing your food conditions, but help you manage them with consumption suggestions and supportive nutrition and other alternative modalities.

You'll hear me say time and time again that the only way we make it past our fear is to lean into courage. If we shy away from what we are afraid of, we will stay where exactly where we are. There is nobody outside of us that can do the hard things for us - WE are the only ones who can take the leap.
I know first hand how hard it is to stand with your knees shaking, almost buckling underneath you as you take that step. The mind doing somersaults and spinning out of control, full of doubt and all the reasons you can't do it as you move forward into the unknown.
But you can. I know you can because I've done it so many times. And each time I push myself out of my comfort zone, I grow and prove to myself I can do hard things. I grow my confidence and realize more and more each day how much my mindset and action patterns matter.
And I'm here to share my experiences in the hopes of inspiring you to go after what scares you too.
While I share about that fear, I also speak to why I'm celebrating this 26th episode, and why I celebrate often. Have a listen and put a bounce in your step today.

I loved this conversation with Mandy, as we chatted about her experience in the mucky middle - her perspective as she finds her way through the change she feels coming, but can't quite put her finger on yet.
What comes through a lot in this conversation is the striking difference in how many of us were taught to navigate change, or rather seemingly expected to figure it out and move along, instead of realigning with what feels right for us - often doing what we feel others would like to see us do and making decisions based on the thoughts and opinions of others (or society) instead of following the guide within us - the guide that is often under nourished and out of practice.
If you're in a place of change, and find yourself feeling the need to rush yourself or explain yourself to those around you, you will really benefit from the messages in this episode.
Mandy is a psychic channel & intuitive mentor, who helps to light the path for others through her leadership. You can follow Mandy on Instagram at @_greenmandy or join her private Facebook Group 'Mandy Kuelz Psychic Channel & Intuitive Mentor'.
